So, this month I have the pleasure of being guest designer for Louise at https://thompsonscraftsupplies.com
Louise has sent me a lovely package to get creative. For project number 1, I have chosen to use the Glitter Stories paper pack from AB studios, to decorate the cover of my hobonichi weeks.

I had an idea of what I wanted the end result to be, but that isn’t always the case. This time I can say I absolutely love the result.
I began with adding gesso to the cover to prime it before adding my acrylic paint. Using the stencil, stamp and the Azure paint from Finnibair I added the X’s and the paint splats. I then brought in my brayer to add the pink too.

It was hard to choose which elements of the papers that I wanted to use, once I had chosen them I fussy cut them out, ready to layer on my cover. Using the matte medium from Finnabair I glued them into the piece, adding a paperclip to the tag before setting it in place. Using a few elements from my stash, I added the finishing touches with some tulle and wooden embellishments.
As I said at the start I absolutely love the results.

I have a process video over on my YouTube channel if you fancy watching, grab yourself a cuppie and head over 😊 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kuNgZuOqWW4&t=6s
